Jay gets maligned a lot on the other forum, but he has helped a lot of folks over time, maybe they took his advice ,,,,maybe not he was and is still a huge friend of the racing comunity.

what is it

Actually I don't like the response from people when you say it has a snomo driveline and puck suspension, they say oh yeah it;s a large go kart, they are more sophisticated than that, but of course they say the same thing about Formula one cars too ! so, Dave's probably right..

Frankly, I don't understand(and apparently niether do a lot of other people) what is the BIG mystery of the elastomer puck suspension because it obviously works , I'm sure a lot of FF guys would say that it works too well (apologies to Penske , Ohlins, ad infinatum.) the larger puck rule actually wi...

The cost of tooling up bodywork is as Jay says not cheap, fortunately for the F5/6 guys the cars are largely flat bottomed eliminating trick undertrays, having said that, the more complex the bodywork the more cost to develop and manufacture, more costly to replace etc etc, so as as been suggested , ...

Thanks Ananth, you captured what I was thinking, that most guys don't want to start out by having to rebuild bodywork to suit the rules, as the class/cars progress, new shapes/styles will develop as budgets and willingness will allow. body work rules

While looking at rues changes, here's one worth thinking about, since so many guys with converted F -5 cars are out there who may be encouraged to increase their wheel base , how about changing the side pod rules ,,, after all the original intent was to keep cars fron tangling wheels, who cares if y...
