F600 Challenge: 2019 Round #1 @ Road Atlanta

It rained all day Thursday and Friday morning then got cold so the qualifying times for the class were slower than usual.  Perennial hot shoe, Clint McMahan, was the one to beat as he had the fastest overall qualifying for the whole race group (F5, FF, FV) at a 1:31.2 but drama usually follows Clint...

Re: I'm Baaack!

Well, it's not going to be a 2 piece chassis for long.... Our courses tend to be pretty fast, a lot of Vettes and other CAM class stuff so pending on gearing I don't think I will be shifting that much. Were you running the 494? My DareDevil F Mod has the 493 - more torque. If I had not sold it, I w...

Re: I'm Baaack!

Autoxing with a 600cc MC means a lot of shifting - FSAE comes to mind - unless you have upped the power. And, I am told by the MC gurus that 1st and 2nd gear don't like to be run hard in autox's. And a single piece chassis handles much better than a two piece chassis that a Zink Z19/22(?) has - from...

F600 CHALLENGE SERIES: 2019 SCHEDULE

After much discussion and input here is the 2019 schedule. F600 CHALLENGE: 2018 FINALE AT ROAD ATLANTA

The Friday morning qualifying session was cold and wet so few of the F600 drivers ventured out onto the track. Unfortunately, Jeff Delong went out and slid into the back of a FF in a braking zone on his 2nd lap and bent his front suspension; it was finally fixed for the race. The afternoon session w...

Re: Sonoma Runoffs

David Lapham won after Jeff collided with a FF. David was disqualified in tear down when
they found that the motor had the older, larger restrictor plates in it. John Holman was the previous
owner and David had not checked the restrictors. Bummer.
