Re: Will MC car owners race with F500 in Majors in 2017???

Race Tracks are a scarce commodity when it comes to securing weekend racing dates. At one time SCCA was nominally the 'big dog' when it came to requesting and securing dates. Over the years between Marque Clubs (Ferrari, Porsche, BMW etc) that have developed their own performance driving-racing seri...

Two strokes and four strokes were married 3 years ago. Except for one race a year they have been sleeping in different beds. Not much of a marriage.

Re: Bought a Basket Case - JFZ Calipers

Thanks Richard, I appreciate the response. The calipers do have an external cross over tubes and I think I am ready to take them apart. Thank you JEB All that should be required to 'rebuild' your calipers is new O rings, cleaning the pistons and potentially replacing the bleed screws. Many of us ha...

Both Jeremy and Jeff were uninjured - a testament to the strength of the front ends of our cars.

Re: Bought a Basket Case - No graphics, just tape

Did you happen to get an SCCA Log Book with the car? Log Book's are issued to all cars used in SCCA Club Racing, each log book is assigned a number that consists of the issuing SCCA Region's number + a consecutive number of the number of log books that the particular region has issued. The Log Book ...

Re: Considering F600

There are several used MC conversion cars that have been for sale in the past year or so - if you can fit them or not - that is the question. The Blade is the only car being designed for the 600 MC engine from it's inception. All other MC powered cars are converted 2-cycle F500 cars and the conversi...

Re: SCCA F500 AD HOC COMMITTEE

Interesting... I believe a diffuser's primary benefit is drag reduction created by reducing the turbulent, low pressure wake behind the car. It also provides some down force in the rear. I would not have thought either would help a steering issue. I would have thought more DF behind the rear axle w...

If you HAVE to be a the pointed end of the grid - ALWAYS! Costs rise geometrically - no matter the class, no matter if it is for a trophy or $100M.

What Jay did to the car Calvin drove wasn't done without cost.

Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go!

Re: For The CVT Haters

In my 20+ years racing F500, I've never had anyone come up to me in the paddock and tell me our cars would be better with MC drivetrains. On the other hand, I've had many people stop by after a session or race to look at the little cars that "punch above their weight". When I explain the ...

Congrats on the hip replacement.

The car you hit the wall with at RA in 1984 was my first car in 1988, it then changed hands several times and was Glen Smeal's first car and is most likely still blowing smoke somewhere at an autocross.
