Blade for Sale

I'm selling my Novarace Blade. This is the sister car to the Blade that won the runoffs. Car is complete except the data system and the transponder will be removed. Car has less than 5 laps on track. No expense was spared in the build of this car. 2011 Suzuki 600 GSXR with less than 3000 miles (engi...

Gearing is very track dependent and is also dependent on the power band on the motor. High speed tracks, a good starting spot is to target your gearing based on hitting top speed at your peak power rpm. Slower tracks with lots of corners will typically benefit from using a little bit lower gearing a...

#1 reason is wings are expensive and this is a budget entry level class. #2 wings add a lot of drag. We don't have the big HP numbers to push the wings. On many of the tracks we run, we hit the aero limit of the cars. A wing large enough to be effective might actually cause our cars to be slower in ...

This should be a good race. It will be interesting to see the two strokes and four strokes going head to head. I wish they were reporting on top speed instead of just speed at the start/finish line. Biggest thing you are paying for in a suit is comfort. Secondary is features like built in arm restraints. If you are racing at hot races, a higher end suit will make a difference in heat fatigue. I was amazed at how much cooler my Design 500 suit was over the Alpine Star. This is primarily due to t...

I was looking for a new suit not long ago. While shopping around I found that the features I wanted had me looking at suits around $1000. Once you get close to the $1000 mark, get a custom suit. You will be much happier. I had my suit made by Design 500 and it is by far the most comfortable and cool...

I can see numerous advantages to spinning it around. You would have to incorporate a gear box to reverse the drive to the rear axle, but a properly done gearbox will have a very small efficiency lose. It would add to the cost/complexity too so from that standpoint I am against it.

The number one rule of car setup is don't try to tune the setup on old tires. Get fresh tires, drive it, and then use that information combined with the input from this site to start making changes. Tires never wear the same front to back or even side to side so chassis setup on old tires will leave...

I think the point Jim was trying to make was even if the 1.25" roll bar cars were still allowed, I have a hard time believing that 3 years after the rule was implemented that a car would have been built with the smaller roll bar. I don't have a 1990 rule book, but I bet it would say that any ca...

Glad you brought this up Ken. The Walbro GSL 393 is the pump you want if you are running an external fuel pump. This pump still has plenty of excess capacity to run the 600's, but it isn't a crazy amount of excess like the 392 is. You need to have the fuel pump as close to the fuel cell as possible....

You can hook up the gear position sensor from the transmission to your data display. I had it hooked up on CDS data system. Ultimately I didn't find it useful. In the heat of the moment braking hard for a corner you really don't have time to look down at the data display to watch the gearing. The on...

Digital scales should have a posted accuracy on them. Most of the racing scales are listed at +/-1 lb over the entire range of the scale. Being computerized they can program them to account for any non-linearity in the strain gauges over the range. I don't know if the scales would require this thoug...
