"Rational" at Road ATL

Postby George Bugg » Mon Jan 24, 2011 8:45 am

I just got back from a great w/e at the SEDiv Year End Meeting. At the RE's breakfast/mtg on Sunday, Butch Kummer announced that the Road ATL event on May 21/22 would be a "Rational" - Regional and National drivers on the track together. There will also be a L3 Time Trials and a Pro-IT race that weekend.

This is our opporutnity to compare the F6 and F5 cars head to head!

And, I'm thinking I might run the TT event w/o a restrictor and the race with whatever you smart guys say is the right choice ... just for personal curiocity. I won't be one of the guys up front, anyway, but it will be fun to see what it feels like with and w/o.

Mark your calendars, folks!! I'd love to see a good field of MC cars there with drivers of all skill levels! (mainly 'cause I'll need someone to run with in the back of the pack  )

Time to put up or shut up!

We need to really promote this and invite all the F5 and F6 drivers who live within driving distance to run this event for an on-track comparison.

Can't wait until then,
Jim

I just put a phone call into to Bill Bradley and Hank Bilek. I'll let you know as soon as I have confirmation from them that they are planning on attending.

Just heard back from Bill Bradley and he will not be able to make it. Hank Bilek will be the 5th driver and he has a 08 GSXR.

Sorry guys, but I'm not going to make it. I'm up in Halifax on a job and the schedule has gone to hell. What should have been 1-1.5 weeks tops is now looking at 3 maybe even 4 weeks. If I make it home in time I'll try to run the CMP race on memorial day, otherwise I'll see you at Roebling on July 4th.
