FORMULA 600 CHALLENGE FINALE AWARDS AT THE ARRC

The drivers voted on two series awards for the 2015 season. The Mechanic of the Year is given to that person who has been most helpful to the most people at every race and this year Dan McMahan has been selected for a second time. Dan won a $50.00 check. The Hard Luck award is given to that driver who had the worst luck of all the drivers over the course of the season and for 2015 Katelyn Johnson was selected. Katelyn wins a traveling trophy plus a $50.00 check.

New sponsor Speed Partz held a drawing among the drivers for their chain sprockets and Sven de Vries won three sprockets worth $186.00.

We are very thankful for our sponsors who have made this series possible:

Metalloid Corporation of Sturgis, Michigan (http://www.metalloidcorp.com )
Shrieve Chemical Products of Houston, Texas (http://www.shrieve.com )

The Formula 600 Challenge series was developed to help promote an affordable open wheel formula car to showcase talent without large financial race budgets. The Formula 600 open wheel cars use a 600cc motorcycle engine and a 6 speed sequential transmission revving up to 15,000 rpm with speeds in excess of 140 mph. The sound of these cars is likened to F1 cars.
