F600 at Solo Nats?

Postby Bill Schmidt » Fri Sep 09, 2016 12:43 am

History has been made. 2 guys are sharing a Wildcat at solo Nats. Friday is the 2nd day of competition for FM class. You can watch it early tomorrow on the SCCA website.

Well, the 2 guys and 1 gal that raced the Wildcat F600 didn't do very well at Solo Nats. Two of the 3 were dfl. My guess is the F600 would have to have its intake restrictors removed to be competitive in Solo.

I don't think the restrictors were a factor.
I suspect three things hurt them:
1. First time at Nat's in this car, thus the car may not have the complete autox setup in suspension, alignment, steering ratio and brakes.
2. Final drive may have had the wrong gear ratio.
3. A lot of shifting slows you down.

Congrats to Jason Hobbs, first in F-mod in a Novakar J9. That's 2 years in a row for a NovaKar in F-mod
