clutch movement

Postby william cobb » Fri Apr 05, 2013 7:01 am

working on clutch pedal/cable placement
how far does the clutch lever on the engine need to move to disengage the clutch? I can move it about 1 1/4". Seems like a lot of pedal movement

Thanks,

Will

Will, you need lots of pedal travel as the clutchs are very sensitive to engagement.

Our clutch pedal for the Suzuki engine is about 9" long and the cable attachment is 2" from the bottom pivot.

The clutch lever on the engine only moves about 1/4" to disengage the clutch.

If you want I will send you a drawing of our clutch pedal.

Jay, Drawing would be appreciated.

Fred, As slow as work has been over the winter, I don't think the car will be ready anytime soon.

Thanks,

Will
